Color Theory
Today we will discuss about colour theory and how is it useful in graphic designing , UX / UI design , Fashion and Interior Designing.
CMYK - Cyan , Magenta , Yellow and Black , this is mostly used for color printing , Graphic designers are recommended to use CMYK .
RGB - Red , Blue ,and Green and this is used for digital work. If some is UX / UI designer who want to design digital screen then RGB can be the option for you.
RGB colors are more vibrant because they are wider than CMYK .
Division of Colours -
1. Hue - It is the origin of color that we see , like red , blue etc .
2. Saturation - It is the intensity of hue . Taking example of Red , if intensity increases saturation (color becomes more vibrant) and if intensity decreases , saturation decreases which makes the color less vibrant.
3. Value - Keeping value in simple terms is brightness of the colour . Value can be divided into 2 parts ie Tint and Shade .
Tint is basically a brighter version of Hue . A Tint can be made by mixing white in the colour . So for example if we have red color as hue which originally see from our eyes when mixed with White make a vibrant Red , a brighter Red which is a Tint .
Shade - Shade is the darker version of Hue . We can make a Shade by adding Black colour into the Hue . So for example taking Hue which red and adding black colour into it which makes it darker makes a Shade.
We can also add a Tone into a Colour by adding Grey into it .
