also known as Operational Management . It is a dynamic profile , the services and product are developed in daily basis, which is why it is interesting and dynamic job role.
6 M's of Production Management (lays)
1. Market - Consumer interested to buy the product , sales of the product.
2. Machine - Machine to produce the lays
3. Method - A process required to make the potato into cleaning and so on
4. Material - Potato will be the material
5. Money - Finance required to initiate the whole process.
6. Man- Labour is required for each and every step.
OBJECTIVES OF A NEW PRODUCT
1. Satisfying customer requirements
2. They want to incorporate some changes in existing product.
3. Resources lying vacant , so to use it .
4. Sales going down .
5. To monopolise the market, to have a bigger share.
6. Achieving low cost of production, let us take an example of bakery - initially the baker can make cake as per orders, as it is growing they make cupcakes and keep in shell, here the ingredients remains the same for the cupcake , the baker is using it in better manner , the baker get better return in cupcake , it helps in reducing the cost of production.
7. Machinery on quantity basis, to make sure that the machinery is in healthy condition .
PRODUCT DESIGN ARE OF 4 TYPES
1. FUNCTIONAL DESIGN - Consider hair brush , here it will contain some functional ingredient , to use it properly it has some curves , a better finishing.
2. AESTHETIC DESIGN - the colour of the hair brush , to make the hair brush attractive.
3.PRODUCTION DESIGN - The hair brush is made in a factory which means a production process is involved to make the product , there can be some changes in the production , to make the production efficient . The extra elements in the product to remove the hindrance .The cupcakes for the design , will be made by machine because of boom in the business.
4.DESIGN FOR PACKAGING - The bristles may damage if the packaging is not good , so the packaging will be good to make it appealing and will be safe , in the original form.
